Image
Pollution is increasing day by day and automobiles are one of the main cause. This could be one of the best, healthy and eco friendly alternative for a green environment and transportation...let's think

P365 - DAY157: Urban scenery, Zürich Switzerland

Image
This beautiful picture depicts a cathedral on the banks of lake Zurich in Switzerland. Formation of clouds in the sky amolified the beauty of the image.

P365 - DAY156: The final post...

Image
This hut is located en route to Chaubatiya Garden, Ranikhet. It was some sort of rosin depot of forest department and located at an abendened space alone in the forest. The surroundings were lush green trees of oak and deodaar.

P365 - DAY155: Isolated Trees

Image
My today's subjects are single Trees. Though a forest full of trees is a very intriguing photography assignment but sometimes an isolated tree stands apart from the rest. It adds a unique interest in the picture. So, here are some of my capture.

P365 - DAY154: View from ChandraShila

Image
Chandrashila is summit of the Tungnath . It literally means "Moon Rock". It is located at a height of about 4,000 metres (13,000 ft) above sea level. This peak provides a spectacular view of Himalayas, especially Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba peaks. The Beauty of Chandrashila is Incredible which offers 360 degrees panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas. One can reach to ChandraShila from Chopta by trekking. The trek to the peak is 5 km. The trek route takes one to Tungnath, from here it is a kilometer long and a steep trek. Though shorter in distance, steep climbing makes this trek rigorous.

P365 - DAY152: Towards Enlightenment...

Image
बुद्धम शरणम् गच्छामि These Mani wheels or commonly known as "prayer wheel" belongs to Buddha Temple, Clament town, Dehradun.According to Buddhist belief spinning a prayer wheel is just as effective as reciting the sacred texts aloud and by spinning these, the holy prayer directly goes to the almighty

P365 - DAY151: Heart 💓 is where the "Duke" is

Image
Well, I love riding and I love the orange beast. Over the past five years, I have been to many places on my ride and clicked thousands pictures of the two wheel adventure. Out of those, these two are my most cherished and beloved clicks. The first one is memory from Renuka Lake, Himachal Pradesh ride in which fellow buddy Mugees Sheikh produced this awesome & unique  burn(shower)out...I truly enjoyed clicking it. This second picture was clicked at Lal Tibba, Mussoorie. It was difficult to properly expose both the bike and Himalayan range at the same time. Therefore, I captured it in HDR and here is the final result.

P365 - DAY150: Mysterious mist...

Image
Today's pictures are of Benog Wildlife Century, Cloud's End, Mussoorie. The place is very eco sensitive and most of the time it is covered with fog and mist. The approach path is very narrow but beautiful.  It is a part of Rajaji National Park is located about 11 km from Library Point in the ‘Queen of Hills’ Mussoorie. It is surrounded by the benedictory pines, old cedar trees, and medicinal plants that grow in abundance in this area. The sanctuary has developed as a bird watching haven and is a home to a wide variety of birds.

P365 - DAY149: Divine path...

Image
This is the way to the Tungnath temple...it is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the mountain range of Tunganath in Rudraprayag district. The Tunganath (literal meaning: Lord of the peaks) is truly a heaven on earth and the path leads us to that heaven.

P365 - DAY148: Black & White wonders

Image
Today I decided to post photos with only two colours...black and white. Black and White photography is not only the initial form of photography but also a very strong way to to convey your message through minimum colors.  The first pic shows splash and water drop both at the same time while the second pic was taken from beneath the Eiffel Tower which offers a different perspective to view the tower.

P365 - DAY147: Flowers & Leaves

Image
Today's pictures are an example of Bokeh photography in which only the subject is in focus and everything else is blurred.

P365 - DAY146: Waiting for the ride

Image
A boat is safer anchored in the port but that's not the boat is built for... this boat is waiting for the off season to end so that it can sail in the lake and achieve its true purpose.

P365 - DAY145: Panning...

Image
It is a photographic technique that combines a slow shutter speed with camera motion to create a sense of speed around a moving object. It is a way to keep your subject in focus while blurring your background. Panning is typically done on a subject moving horizontally, such as a moving car, or a running dog. It is relatively an advanced technique that requires lots of practice to master. The key Points are slow shutter speed, slightely zoom out, continuous focus and movement of your camera with the moving subject.... This pic has the following settings Shutter speed 1/40 s F14 ISO 160 99mm

P365 - DAY144: Random picture... beauty with bicycle

Image
This is one of my beloved picture. The composition was too good to resist. It was taken at Bhimtal Lake which acted as the background and the lone tree and bicycle as main subject.

P365 - DAY143: Hanuman Dham- Chhoie, Ramnagar

Image
Located in Anjani Gram, Chhoie just 5  kilometer from Ramnagar, this is one of the largest temple in Uttarakhand. Dedicated to lord Hanuman, it is presently under construction and is consists of one main temple, a meditation hall and adjoining park ( Ashok Vatika). When completed, it will definitely be a jewel in the crown of Ramnagar and would be great place from relegious tourism.

P365 - DAY142: Garjiya Devi Mandir...Ramnagar

Image
Earlier, I have posted pictures of Mata Garjiya (Girija) Devi temple during Navratri time (P365-Day31). Yesterday I got another. Opportunity to visit this sacred place. It was a wonderful day out with family and here are some more pics of the beautiful temple.

P365 - DAY141: Into the horizon

Image
The horizon...skyline...the line that separates earth from sky...the line that divides all visible directions into two categories: those that intersect the Earth's surface, and those that do not.  Capturing Sunrise or Sunset with horizon is very unique photographic experience and I witnessed this sunset  a week's ago.

P365 - DAY140: Contour lines...Chopta

Image
Trek to Chopta-Chandrashila is one of my most profound memories as far as the photography is concern. The entire trek was so mesmerising and offered plenty of breathtaking views. Today's picture are just an example of that. Just look at these to have a experience. p.s. many more to come.

P365 - DAY139: Hide & Seek

P365 - DAY138: Three Musketeers

Image
Remembering childhood days when we were the king and our toys were our assets. Those days were filled with innocence and joy. These three drove me back down the memory lane. See and remember your childhood memory.

P365 - DAY137: Beauty of nature...Rose

Image
A flower is the best wish we can offer to near and dear ones. Therefore, today I Wish you all a very good morning with this lovely pink rose which I captured on my journey to Paonta Sahib.

P365 - DAY136: Migration

Image
These are the migratory birds who visits the Kosi barrage every year. They travel across countries every year and play very important role to maintain the bio diversity of the region. I caught these in my camera last year while returning from Ramnagar.

P365 - DAY135: Siddh Mandir, Brahmdev, Nepal

Image
Today, I am sharing the pictures of famous Siddh Mandir of Brahmdev, Nepal. It is situated in the adjoining border area of India and Nepal and is Just a few kilometres from Indian city, Tanakpur. Geographically iris situated just opposite to Mata Poornagiri Temple on the other side of river Sharda. A famous legend behind this Mandir is that...A devotee of Mata Poornagiri once visited the Holy Shrine of Poornagiri at odd hours which the deity didn't liked and threw him to the other side of river Sharda at this place. But as a result of his devotion, the deity gave him the boon that he will also be visited and worshiped there at Brahmdev. So, it is believed that one must visit the Brahmdev Siddh Mandir after visiting Poornagiri in order to get the complete blessings.
