P365 - DAY278: Barahi Dham... Devidhura

Barahi Devi temple of Devidhura is dedicated to goddess Durga and is located in the hills of Champawat district of Uttarakhand. The place is  very peacefull and beautiful one.

P365 - DAY277: Bhimtal, Uttarakhand

Bhimtal, the city with a lake which has a island in the middle. The largest lake of Nainital district and one of the most scenic. These pictures were take from a vantage point and the lake is visible in the background.

Sunset is one of the most pleasing moments of day as the radiance of Sun is quite comfortable at that time. This is sunset view from my village in Champawat, Uttarakhand which I took during my brother's wedding earlier this month.

When the earth becomes canvas and nature becomes painter, the best paintings are created. Presenting here two such natural paintings. First is mighty Himalaya seen from Snow view, Nainital and the second is a village of Champawat, Uttarakhand. The work of Nature is truly incredible.

Today's photo is this beautiful little blue flower. It was growing lonely in my backyard when I captured this. Thought, it was a single flower around yet it was very refreshing.

This Postcard like photo is a cool morning view of Almora, the city of colors. Fog is settling in the far valley and offering a pleasant and clear sky above.

P365 - DAY272: Plain in the hills

Amidst the hills of that area, this is a large flat ground somewhere between Saharfatak and Lamgara. It acts as a great sporting venue for nearby villages and many sporting events took place here. Surrounding view from this place is just mesmerising.

This photo is clicked from Kasardevi, Almora and in the background it is the city of Almora...the cultural and intelectual hub of Kumaun. Kasardevi is very beautiful place in itself and views like this add to its beauty. Some pics of Kasardevi temple are coming up in next post.

If there are flowers, there must be throns somewhere and sometims they are so intermixed that it becomes very difficult to segregate them. Today's picture is one such combination.

The crow was Waiting for his turn to take a holy dip in River Ganga at Triveni Ghat Rishikesh to wash off all his sins I guess. Jokes apart, I capture this photo moments before he flew to drink water...Isn't it we all know the story of thirsty crow?

P365 - DAY267: Dol Aashram (डोल आश्रम)

With a view to guide mankind to attain inner peace through yoga and meditation, visionary Parma Yogi Kalyandasji established Shree Kalyan Sewa Aashram in Amarkantak in 1978. Later on Shree Kalyanika Himalaya Dev Sthanam, popularly known as Dol Aashram was setup in 2005 at Kanra Dol, Block Langara in Almora district of Uttarakhand. Construction of main meditation centre, known as Shree Pitham (श्री पीठम्)  was completed in 2018 and it opened with a grand ceremony on 18th April 2018. It is a Shree yantra (श्रीयंत्र) shaped round building with 126 ft in hight and 150 ft in diameter. The Shree Pitham houses world's largest three and half feet long Shree Yantra with an appropriate weight of one and half ton. It is made up of amalgamation of eight metals (अष्ट धातु) and installed amidst spiritual ceremony held between 18 April to 29 April 2018. This is Dol Aashram in Almora district of Uttarakhand. It's "soon to be landmark" of the entire region and here I am presenting the first glimpse of it. My detailed post regarding the entire place is coming soon and I will post more pictures of this place in coming days.

The road from Lohaghat to Bhimtal via Sahar fatak is full of greenery and dense forest of oak, buransh and pine. This picture was taken a few days back when a fox suddenly crossed the road in front of our car and disappeared into the Jungle.

Every life ends one day. Its law of Nature and it is full of coincidences. In this picture, there are two trees, one which is old and gone and the other which is live and green. The nature has its own ways to convey the message...a life ends and another one begins.

The tiny beautiful decorative piece caught my attention in a suvinour shop in Kempty fall Mussoorie. Kempty fall is a waterfall in Dehradun District located near Mussoorie. It is a very popular tourist attraction.

P365 - DAY257: Every picture tells a story

Well this was a very interesting composition clicked on the trails of Mal Devta, Dehradun. During one of our off road excursions back in 2013, we took the road less traveled towards Mal Devta. This composition has many things packed in one frame. Be it trail, the bike and biker, the village women in the background or...the expression of passerby. This photo was indeed an story in itself.

The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre) is a large glass and metal pyramid designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard of the Louvre Palace in Paris. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum. Completed in 1989, it has become a landmark of the city of Paris. Commissioned in 1984, it was constructed entirely with glass segments and metal poles, reaches a height of 21.6 metres. Its square base has sides of 34 metres and a base surface area of 1,000 square metres. It consists of 603 rhombus-shaped and 70 triangular glass segments.

P365 - DAY255: Golkonda Fort, Hyderabad

It is a citadel and fort in Southern India and was the capital of the medieval sultanate of the Qutb Shahi dynasty . The fort is situated 11 km west of Hyderabad city.   The whole of the Golkonda Fort complex and its surrounding spreads across 11 km of total area and discovering its every nook is an arduous task. A visit to the fort reveals the architectural beauty in many of the pavilions, gates, entrances, and domes. Divided into four district forts, the architectural valour still gleams in each of the apartments, halls, temples, mosques, and even stables.  The Golkonda region is famous for the mines that have produced some of the world's most famous gems, including the Koh-i-Noor, the Hope Diamond, Nassak Diamond and the Noor-ul-Ain.

P365 - DAY253: City Center, Frankfurt.

Frankfurt, the fifth largest City of Germany is a metropolis and one of the alpha global city. It is a global hub for commerce, culture, education, tourism and transportation.  The city centre is site of many global and European corporate headquarters. Frankfurt was one of the most important cities of the Holy Roman Empire. The city is located on the banks of river Main.

The greatest gift to our future generations is clean and green environment.  The first picture is a village of Uttarakhand having beautiful cloudy sky and small polyhouse in foreground. The second picture is water body near Dakpathhar, Dehradun having river Yamuna as the main subject.  In the third picture, the Doon valley is covered with clouds and the picture was taken from Mussoorie, the Queen of hills.
