P365 - DAY185: Ready to bloom

Nature gives us so many things and nothing is more pleasing than having blooming flowers in your garden. This flower is about to bloom and spread its fragrance in the atmosphere.

P365 - DAY184: Nature's treasure... Almora

This picture was taken enroute to Ranikhet. This particular spot is located just in the middle of Almora and Kosi and it offers a beautiful view of surrounding hills and the valley.

Today's picture was taken from Barlowganj, Mussoorie. In this picture, the serpentine road takes us from bottom to top of the hill. I was standing on the same road while capturing this picture.

On DAY52 and 176, I posted glimpse of mighty Himalayas for the first time with the promise to post more pictures of majestic Himalaya mountain and here I am today. These pictures of peak Nanda Devi, the second highest peak in India were taken from Ranikhet, Uttarakhand at different time of a day. The morning Sun makes the snow glow in orange while it's snow white in the evening.

The layers of mountains behind one another is seen from Suakholi...a place approx 10 kilometers from Mussoorie.  It was a monsoon morning of 2012 when I clicked this picture and here I present it for your views.

Well, these pictures were taken way back in the summer of 2012. The place is just after the Cloud's End, Mussoorie. It looks like a completely different world and the narrow widening road and high cliffs offers a thrilling experience for riders.

P365 - DAY175: Bageshwar, Uttarakhand

It is a city and district headquarter of Bageshwar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Bageshwar is known for its scenic beauty, Glaciers, Rivers and Temples. Historically and religiously it is a very important city of Kumaun region. Situated on the confluence of Sarju and Gomati rivers and surrounded by the mountains of Bhileshwar (east) and Nileshwar (west) and by the Suraj Kund (north) and Agni Kund (south), the city spread over a total area of approx 5.50 sq km.  The city got its name from the famous Bagnath Temple which was built in 1450 and is dedicated to lord Shiva.

Well, I love this composition. It was taken on a full moon when the moon was just about to set behind the hilltop. It was like a beautiful sit in the sky.

This is a wall covered with green algae. It was shot at Mussoorie during the beginning of Monsoon and the wall looks like a green carpet.

P365 - DAY172: Buland Darwaja (बुलंद दरवाज़ा), Fatehpur Sikri

The Gate of Magnificence was built in 1601 A.D. by Akbar. It is the main entrance to the palace at Fatehpur Sikri, a town which is 43 km from Agra, India. It is the highest gateway in the world. The Buland Darwaza is made of red and buff sandstone. It is 40 metres high and 50 metres from the ground. The total height of the structure is about 54 metres from the ground level. The total height of the Gate above the pavement is 176 ft.

This picture was taken near Cheela Dam, a place in Rishikesh - Haridwar road. It is a very beautiful place to ride and enjoy the beauty of nature at the same time. Must visit whenever you are near to Haridwar or Rishikesh.

Flying high in the sky...well it's truly a fantasy of all who can't fly. However, some guniess has turned this dream into reality by inventing flying machines. One such is Para glide...these were pics from Para gliding centre, Bhimtal which is gaining popularity rapidly among adventure lovers.

The art of two colours is a very powerful one. It consists a whole lot of meaning within the two extreme colour. In B&W photography, every emotion and every detail is either black or white. But these two are just enough to tell it all.

This portrait of a Hindu sage was captured on my way to Surkunda Mata back in 2013. He was busy reading Ramayana early in the morning when I candidly took this picture. The satisfaction and peace in his face was evident and his lone voice of chanting Ramayana Sloka was like a music to the ear.
