P365 - DAY365: Different perspective

It was on 27th August, 2017 when it all started. I decided to publish a photo story everyday on my blog and facebook for next one year and termed it as Project365 (P365).  Well, this idea was in mt mind for long but I would like to mention here those person who motivated and guides me to brought this idea out from my imagination to reality... My wife Sunita Rawat and friend   Sunder Singh Mehra made it all possible and last but not the least it was all possible because of all of you who liked and shared my posts and guided me to do better. It was all for you. Well signing off for now but will soon return with another project. Till then...Happy photography. Well today's picture is captured in Venice, Italy and this is the picture of same building taken at different angle and shades.

P365 - DAY364: Preparing for the shot

On the penultimate day of this Project 365, I am posting a memory from my last Chopta trek. This particular picture was taken at the Sumit, peak Chandrashila from where the views were spectacular. And also I got a candid shot of my fellow trekker preparing for the shot.

P365 - DAY363: Valley and Mountains, the magical duo

Today's post is dedicated to one of the raw beauty of nature. The combination of mountains and valley. This straight out of postcard picture is taken en route to Tunganath Temple in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand and views from this point was truly amazing.

Well, it's quite amazing to watch the giant of jungle in a playful mood. Though this was tamed for domestic use still it was thrilling . I witnessed it in the Cheela Range of Rajaji National Park, Dehradun.

P365 - DAY361: Sub-framing

It is a photographic technique in which the main subject is captured through a secondary object which acts like a frame with in the frame. For example in this picture I clicked my friend's bike (main subject) through the front disc brake (sub frame) of my bike.

P365 - DAY360: Sahasradhara (सहस्त्रधारा), Dehradun

Literally meaning thousand fold spring, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations of in Dehradun, Uttrakhand. The place has a water stream which drips from the limestone stalactites, it abundant in sulpur and thus the place is known for its sulphur springs. This place is at about 11 km from the city of Dehradun and plenty of road transport facility is available to reach there.

Rome is the city full of culture and history. Every nook and corner of the city has its own story and importance. These masked caught my attention in a souvenir shop near Trevi Fountain.

Bike gives wings to a biker. Bike and biker are just like body & soul. It takes you to the places you can only dream if. I came across this beautiful water crossing during of my bike trip to Lakhwaad (लखवाड़) temple and I didn't wasted a moment to capture my beast with the natural beauty.

Dhanoulti is a tourist spot in Dehradun district. It is famous for its cool weather and Himalayan views. The place has plenty of deodaar trees which adds to its beauty. This picture was of Dhanoulti Eco Park.

Today's photo is clicked from Hotel JP Residency Manor, Mussoorie and in front lies the beautiful Doon valley and mountains. It's a joy to see a view like this as a first thing in the morning.

This us a seasonally water stream just a few hundred meters from Kempty Fall in Dehradun district. I tried to capture it in a different and unusual angle. Although it's not as per the traditional rules of photography but sometimes...Rules are meant to be broken.

P365 - DAY354: Happy Independence Day

Today's is our Independence day and it is the greatest gift given to us by all the martyrs of freedom. Without them, we won't be having a free air to breath. I captured these twins in my camera donning Netaji Bose and Chacha Nehru on the Independence day celebration at Dehradun and they we looking so cute in the outfit.

Rain brings much needed energy to the earth. It fills the belly of mother nature with water which is lifeline for sustenance. But when it stops, it leaves some beautiful droplets behind to rejuvenate the flora and fauna around. These pictures was taken just after day before yesterday's rain..

P365 - DAY352: European countryside

I clicked this picture somewhere between Italy and Austria. That particular day, the complete route was spectacular and filled with breathtaking views. However, this town has all the beautiful things stitched together. The mountains, the grapeyards, the buildings... Everything was so perfect that it looked like a movie set.

These days monsoon is on its peak and it's train everywhere. Though it is lifeline for rain feed agriculture but excess of it is fatal for daily life. This picture is just a depiction of rain in our pahad which is quite frequent in this season.

P365 - DAY350: Lamgara (लमगड़ा) Diaries part - III

In the final part of Lamgara Diaries, I will talk about some point of interest around Lamgara. Lamgara in itself like a hill station with minimal fuss however there are a few place near Lamgara which are worth to mention.  Dol Asharam is located approx 12 kilometers from lamgara and is very suitable for meditation and world famous Jageshwar Temple and Chitai Golu Temple are within 40 kilometers from here.

At an altitude of around 1850 meters from the sea level, the place is reasonably cold. Though the place is quite small but it caters the need of nearby villages which are spread over a larger area. Lamgara is one of Tehsil and block of Almora district.

P365 - DAY348: Lamgara (लमगड़ा) Diaries part - I

Today, I am starting three part photo post of my current workplace, Lamgara. It is a tehsil of Almora district of Uttarakhand. It is situated approx 30 kilometers south from the district headquarters. The area is hilly and geographically it shares it's border with Nainital district in its west and Champawat district in its south. First pictures of this monsoon are here. More is coming soon.

P365 - DAY347: Ceiling paintings...Musee du Louvre

When you are in the world's largest museum, The Louvre Museum Paris...Don't forget to look upward. The reason is because it is decorated with some of the finest work of art. Some ceiling paintings are truly a masterpiece. Presenting here two such ceiling painting which I caught in my camera.

Time and again, I have posted many pictures of mountains because I like capturing the majestic beauty and being a pahari (पहाड़ी) I feel connected with them. Today's pictures are also dedicated to the mountains of Mussoorie region in Uttarakhand. Feel the air of these hills...

P365 - DAY345: A dot in the greenery

This unique flowerpot stand was placed in the center of a green lawn and from above the setup was looking just amazing. Since, it was a unique site I clicked this picture immediately.

P365 - DAY344: River, valley and mountains

The place is near Yamuna bridge in Chakrata- Mussoorie road. In the photo, river Yamuna is making it's path through the green valley which is surrounded by the mountains. It was a nice and isolated place to hang around.

P365 - DAY343: India Gate...New Delhi

This war memorial is synonyms to the identity of India and one of the most iconic monument of our country. It was originally built to pay tribute to the martyr of first world war and third Anglo afganistan war and later on the Amar Jawan Jyoti was installed below the arch in the memory of 1971 war soldiers.

Every time I look this beautiful hill station, it looks different. This particular photo was taken from a vantage point from where it was looking like a pearl amidst the coat of greenery.

P365 - DAY341: Different Look...Buddha Temple Clementown

Buddha temple of Clementown (क्लेमेनटाउन का बौद्ध मंदिर) is a place so popular that it has now become an integral identity of Dehradun. The place houses some of the finest tibbatien buildings of the city and their architecture is quite amazing. This is one of the building of the temple campus.

This beautiful landscape is from Bhimtal-Ranikhet road near Garam pani. I took this photo during my bike ride to Mussoorie-Gangolihat-Mussoorie. The particular spot is very mesmerizing mix of flowing river, mountains and scenic beauty. A nice stop for the long journey.
