P365 - DAY96: Charm of Old Mussoorie


Today I am posting the aerial view of Old Mussoorie Bazaar from Chaar Dukan area of Mussoorie. Which is the highest point of Mussoorie. Mussoorie still has very large number of old buildings of colonial era and a look at the 'Queen of Hills' from the top makes me nostalgic every times.

With a view to guide mankind to attain inner peace through yoga and meditation, visionary Parma Yogi Kalyandasji established Shree Kalyan Sewa Aashram in Amarkantak in 1978. Later on Shree Kalyanika Himalaya Dev Sthanam, popularly known as Dol Aashram was setup in 2005 at Kanra Dol, Block Langara in Almora district of Uttarakhand. Construction of main meditation centre, known as Shree Pitham (श्री पीठम्)  was completed in 2018 and it opened with a grand ceremony on 18th April 2018. P365 - DAY135: Siddh Mandir, Brahmdev, Nepal

Today, I am sharing the pictures of famous Siddh Mandir of Brahmdev, Nepal. It is situated in the adjoining border area of India and Nepal and is Just a few kilometres from Indian city, Tanakpur. Geographically iris situated just opposite to Mata Poornagiri Temple on the other side of river Sharda. A famous legend behind this Mandir is that...A devotee of Mata Poornagiri once visited the Holy Shrine of Poornagiri at odd hours which the deity didn't liked and threw him to the other side of river Sharda at this place. But as a result of his devotion, the deity gave him the boon that he will also be visited and worshiped there at Brahmdev. So, it is believed that one must visit the Brahmdev Siddh Mandir after visiting Poornagiri in order to get the complete blessings.

P365-Day59: Mahasu Devta (महासू देवता) Temple, Jaunsar - Uttarakhand

Presenting today two of  the most famous temple of Lord Mahasu...the Lakhwar and the Laksyar The Lakhwar Temple The lakhwar temple is located in Lakhwar village which is on Mussoorie – Chakrata motor able road. It is a very famous temple in this part of Dehradun and is also the local deity of the region. The  temple has three stories of which the idol is worshipped on the top floor. The Laksyar Temple The second temple is in Laksyar village which is located at a distance of just 5 kms from lakhwar. The place is very serene and beautiful and presence of these two temples makes it divine also. I got the opportunity to visit thses two mesmerizing place back in 2013 courtesy my KTM friends. Idol of Mahasu Devta The third and most famous Mahasu Devta Temple is located on the Tuini-Mori road at Hanol (हनोल) in tuini Uttarakhand.
